Responsibilities:

  • Develop skills in safety, quality control, scheduling, and customer satisfaction through hands-on training.
  • Build leadership capabilities in supervision, performance management, and mentorship.
  • Learn key business principles like accountability, execution, risk management, and budgeting.
  • Embrace Sonoco’s culture by enhancing communication, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Prepare for leadership roles such as Plant Manager, Supply Chain Leader, or Regional Director.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Packaging Science, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related natural science, completed by December 2024 or May 2025.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in prior internships, campus organizations, or projects, showing readiness for supervisory and strategic responsibilities.
  • Manufacturing Interest and Technical Aptitude: A strong desire to work in a manufacturing environment, along with technical knowledge and skills relevant to areas like safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility and Willingness to Relocate: Openness to relocating (immediately or in the future), as well as flexibility with rotating or late shifts to meet the demands of the role.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and contribute to Sonoco’s culture and values.
